Attending CSCMP Edge Conference This Year?

CSCMP Edge

The logistics industry is one of the fastest-changing and growing in America. With new and shifting government regulations, the rapid development of technology and other ever-moving variables, management of the supply chain has become more complicated than ever before.

At Redwood Logistics, we’ve found there’s only one way to stay ahead of the game. The secret is that you must consistently stay at the forefront of research, education, and partnerships. That’s why you’ll find half of our team constantly researching and implementing current best practices. Meanwhile, the other half of our team attends transportation and logistics conferences to continuously educate, empower and scale our business.

The next exciting and noteworthy conference we’ll be attending is the CSCMP Edge 2019. Held by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, this annual supply chain event is a global conference for anyone looking to stay on the cutting “edge” of supply chain management.

Will you be attending?

What is CSCMP Edge?

The CSCMP slogan is simple: educating and connecting the world’s supply chain professionals. That’s exactly what this conference seeks to do. (Learn more about CSCMP here.)

CSCMP’s Edge is an annual global conference that pushes the envelope of supply chain growth and education. Their goal is to provide resources that are in alignment with the CSCMP’s commitment to the logistics industry.

The Edge conference has more than 95 educational sessions and four networking receptions. They also offer an Academic Research Symposium, Women at Work session, and 15 continuing education units (CEUs) for SCPro Certification holders.

Some of the industry’s leading experts will be speaking at CSCMP Edge, as well. Some of these speakers include Amazon’s VP of Transportation Services David Bozeman, IBM’s VP of Operations and Services Joanne Wright, and Nike’s VP of Global Sourcing and Manufacturing Mike Brewer. The keynote is moderated by Kevin F. Smith, the president, and CEO of Sustainable Supply Chain Consulting. Additionally, you’ll also hear from the CEO of Zipline and founder of Woohoo Inc.

It’s not just shaping up to be an information-packed event, but we anticipate a lot of fun and excitement as well! These speakers are renowned in their businesses, and they promise an entertaining and innovative experience for all attendees.

Awards, Exhibits, and Career Fair Rolled Into One

There are also awards and recognitions for those individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the supply chain industry. In 2017, the Edge conference’s awards’ winners included Jeff Bezos, Dr. Nancy Nix, and George Lauer. We’re looking forward to seeing who’s in line for the best of the best this year!

Along with the incredible speakers and award-winners, the conference also includes exhibits and even a career fair. This year’s supply chain exchange exhibition focuses on the seamless integration of intelligent design and function, with an emphasis on cutting-edge technology. Furthermore, you’ll have access to a wide array of products and services from leading experts around the globe. And yes, that includes the likes of Redwood Logistics.

It’s such an incredible and beloved event in the supply chain world that they already have it planned out for the next four years! (California, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee are on the list from 2019-2022.)

Trust us, you won’t want to miss this event at any of its stops.
