Cargo Theft Expands into Bajío Region, Overhaul 2025 Report Finds.
The Overhaul 2025 Annual Cargo Theft Report identified a geographic shift in cargo theft patterns across Mexico, with criminal activity expanding from central regions into the Bajío corridor. The Bajío region concentrated 27% of cargo theft. At the state level, theft incidence was distributed as follows: Estado de México (21%), Puebla (17%), Guanajuato (9%), San Luis Potosí (6%), Michoacán (5%) and the Most Targeted Cargo Categories are Food and Beverages (31%), Construction and Industrial (8%), Automotive and Parts (8%), Miscellaneous Goods (8%), Fuel (7%).
