A prominent furniture manufacturer and distributor, along with its transportation and logistics division, faced challenges due to an outdated supply chain and technology infrastructure. Starting in mid-2018, Redwood analyzed the manufacturer’s operations and developed recommendations to enhance their logistics model. By the end of that year, Redwood started implementing standardized practices between business segments, customers, and carrier partners.

 

They established efficient data flow through technical execution and process design, utilizing the Infios TMS as the core operating system, interconnected with the manufacturer’s other systems via the RedwoodConnect™ integration platform. This allowed the company to continue using its proprietary technology for private fleet execution, while seamlessly exchanging data with Infios and other systems following Redwood’s proven model. Additionally, Redwood assisted in the “lift and shift” of an existing interface to minimize customer-side development efforts, taking on the responsibility of retrofitting it into the design model. This allowed the customer the time to focus on internal projects that were critical to their business.


During the pandemic in 2020, Redwood successfully facilitated a fully remote go-live with the manufacturer. Through process improvements and technology integration, the manufacturer swiftly adapted to the surge in demand caused by the pandemic, outperforming competitors and experiencing minimal disruptions.
