CHICAGO – September 28, 2022-- Redwood Logistics (Redwood), one of the fastest-growing supply chain and logistics companies in North America, announced today that the company will host their annual Women in Logistics seminar on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 5 p.m. CDT, with the theme anchoring around the “Leading Ladies in Logistics.” The fifth annual Women in Logistics event also marks a return to in-person events hosted by Redwood.

The session will be hosted by Emily Weiser, Senior Vice President of Sales, Redwood and moderated by Sarah Barnes-Humphrey, host of ‘Let’s Talk Supply Chain.’ Featured guests from across the supply chain workforce include Charlie Saffro, Founder & Owner, CS Recruiting; Elise Le, Vice President of Customer Experience, Parade; Audrey Ross, Import & Export Compliance Manager, Orchard Custom Beauty & Secretary, Blended Pledge; and Hillary Drake, Logistics Systems Program Manager, nVent.

“As more women continue to pursue logistics careers in a previously male-dominant industry, we want to provide attendees with the actionable insights they need to discover more paths to success,” said Weiser. “We will discuss not only the current progress of women landing impactful supply chain roles, but also the future of our industry and how to overcome the challenges to further diversify our industry.”

Redwood will lead a discussion exploring ways the industry can attract and retain women, how women can unearth career-accelerating opportunities and insights into how women can thrive long-term within an ever-changing global supply chain.

“The ladies of logistics bring so much to the table in the workforce, already making thousands of impactful business decisions daily,” said Barnes-Humphrey. “We are thrilled to partner with Redwood as we seek to further the reach and impact of women within our industry. Our esteemed panel of supply chain professionals know the ins-and-outs of this field and their knowledge will be invaluable for women at every stage of their logistics careers.”

This year Redwood is proud to further their commitment to underrepresented groups by fundraising during the Women in Logistics event on behalf of The Blended Pledge, a non-profit group creating visible impact of diverse voices and brand awareness for underrepresented Women, Minority and LGBT owned businesses through access to digital media content.
